Matt is dedicated to advancing conservative principles, energizing the next generation of Republican leaders, and building a strong, lasting foundation for the party’s future in Maine through outreach and engagement.

Robert Travers

Maine Young Republicans National Committeeman
Robert serves as National Committeeman of the Maine Young Republicans, working alongside party leadership to coordinate statewide initiatives, support local chapters, and develop programs that foster leadership skills among young conservatives. He is deeply committed to advancing conservative values, expanding the party’s reach among new voters, and increasing youth involvement in Maine politics through grassroots organizing, mentorship, and active community engagement.

John Salamone

Maine Young Republicans Treasurer
John is currently running for Maine State Senate in District 32. He holds a B.A. in Global Studies with a minor in Philosophy from Loyola University Maryland and brings professional IT experience as a Network Engineer, holding both CCNP Enterprise and CCNA certifications. John combines his technical expertise and political leadership to engage young voters and strengthen Republican influence in York County and beyond. He is determined to give Maine’s next generation a real voice.

Jared Hirshfield serves as Communications Director for the Maine Senate Republicans, where he leads media strategy, messaging, and outreach for the caucus. A former Republican nominee for Maine House District 135, Jared has been a strong advocate for lower taxes, affordable energy, local control, and expanding opportunities for Maine’s younger generation. He brings a passion for effective communication and a commitment to advancing conservative principles while strengthening the Republican presence in communities across the state.
